The Salesian Province of the Middle East, named after “Jesus the Adolescent” (MOR), was canonically erected on January 20, 1902, after a request to the Holy See by the then Rector Major, Blessed Don Michele Rua.
Currently the Province includes 13 presences, distributed as follows: 5 in Holy Land, 3 in Egypt, 3 in Syria, 2 in Lebanon and these presences are animated by 11 Salesian religious communities.
